The founder of MARS PHOTO AND DESIGN, Michael Raffin has been an architectural and commercial freelance photographer for 18 years.

With three years working as an assistant with commercial photographers, he honed his lighting skills and recognizable styling techniques.

Michael learned how to integrate available light with manufactured light in a relatively technical fashion. With the knowledge and engineering of manufactured lighting and the ability to be completely mobile – to shoot at any location – he has been hired and retained to photograph homes.

Among his accomplishments, Michael has shot professional sports for the National Hockey League’s Detroit Red Wings, Major League Baseball’s Detroit Tigers and the National Football League’s Detroit Lions. While working with the Detroit Red Wings, Michael is credited in a published book, “48 Hours With The Red Wings,”
